Worship
Every Sunday
09:30 - Sung Eucharist - our principal service of the week.
It is based on 1982 Scottish Liturgy, but we use our own particularised service booklets, coloured according to the church season to make sure we get it right! Music for the sung creed is not included in the booklet, but is available on request.
Everyone is welcome, including children of all ages, and all are invited to stay on afterwards for coffee or tea. Whenever deemed appropriate, the service takes the form of a family service and is usually aimed at the younger members of the congregation.
18:00 - Choral Evensong (First Sunday of Month)
Singing of the traditional evening service of the Anglican Communion was re-introduced at St Peter's in 2016 (after a ten year gap) and attracts a regular congregation, most of whom are keen to rediscover its choral traditions. As with all our other services, every one is welcome!
Sunday School & Creche
The Sunday School and Creche meet each Sunday morning during school term time, in the extension behind the main church. The Sunday School and creche both join with the rest of the congregation in time to receive communion.
Mid-Week
Tuesday - 10:30 - Said Eucharist (1982 Scottish Liturgy)
After this service you are welcome to join us for coffee and a blether.
Thursday - 09:00 - Said Morning Prayer
Leadership of this short service is shared between our Rector and a small group of congregational members.
Feast Days
Please check our page for times of services at special occasions.
Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals
See the dedicated pages to find out more about weddings, baptisms and funerals at St Peter's. There are normally no fees for any of these, which are offered as part of the church's ministry to the local community.
